Nice portion, nice staff and, above all, really tasty!

Delicious beer and delicious food. Partly to Corona also to take away. I remain loyal to the brewery.

Table reservation worked great. The environment was clean and tidy, including the sanitary facilities. The food itself was really delicious, the menu extensive and the beer very tasty. What more do you want. We recommend.

We went to see Schwerin and became aware of the brewery, after a short thought we went to dinner. Offers for the food are sufficient and there are even steak days and thus offers. The Monday offer of beef steak with corn and open potatoes was great, tasted wonderful, food came early and so did the drinks. You were very well looked after during the visit, despite Corona we got a table at short notice without a reservation. We can totally recommend this. Good luck!

The food was very rich and tasted good. The service very polite. What bothered us only after paying and on ours! A contact form was requested. Isn't that a must for every restaurant today? Please pay attention to it next time.

The decor is really nice, the service was friendly and courteous and the food came really quickly. The portions were just right and nicely garnished. The prices are ok and it tasted really good. I think it can only be recommended!

A beautiful, quaint brewery in the heart of Schwerin that is always worth a visit. For the first visit I would like to recommend the beer tasting to get a little overview of the local beers. After that, every beer lover is sure to find the right one. The right food belongs to every good beer. The extensive menu offers a large selection of high-quality and very well prepared dishes that are also seasonal. The weekly changing are also pleasant. Lunch offers for those who are hungry.

My french fries, which were homemade, were the best in years. The salad is lightly marinated with lemon - just great. The schnitzel prepared perfectly - great wave shape of the breading ... A great team, which tears the A ... for us guests. Many Thanks Kathrin and André from Berlin

Unfortunately it wasn't that good. 1x roast pan, 1x roast pork spit. The meat was very dry and hard. The atmosphere in the back area was not the best either, simple wooden chairs without cushions were not very comfortable either. The beer was very good and the service was friendly. What we only noticed after leaving the restaurant was that we didn't have to provide any contact details

Unfortunately not to be recommended. Extremely long waiting time, staff totally overwhelmed, totally overpriced ... Extremely disappointing, had nothing to do with the expectation to experience some regional cuisine. Had ordered Wildbartwurst which, according to the menu, should be made from wild boar and deer but then reminded a lot of a grilled sausage.

Unfortunately I can only award one star. Although there wasn't much going on and enough staff in sight, it took a long time before I even received the card. That wouldn't be "half as bad", but when I was served my food cold after what felt like an eternity, I was simply "served". I had ordered a spit roast and the waiter said, "Mmmm, we've been having problems getting it served hot lately". Without words. Maybe the Altstadtbrauhaus was just having a bad day.

Super sercive, good prices and nice ambience. We wanted to try a local beer and this brewery in the middle of town was the perfect opportunity to do so. The beer itself, on the other hand, is just okay, not spicy enough for my taste, but quite tasty!

The food was good and tasty. But: A 0.5 liter beer for € 5.10 and a Sprite for € 4.80 are tough. Overall OK, but something was missing at these prices. The service wasn't enough

Outstanding, we can only say. We were there four times out of 5 days in Schwerin. That says it all ... Top quality, great service despite real stress. You are happy to get what you expect in a brewery. Regional, hearty cuisine is very well implemented, that's what we want, not this uniformity where you don't know which country you are in :-) Thank you, we will be happy to recommend you.

Nice staff, large portions and great quality. If you are into home cooking you have come to the right place. I also liked the possibility of being able to choose freely between different side dishes.

Food was OK, service a bit slow, but the kalter hund and the beers made it all worthwhile.

Super delicious and plentiful dishes that are served quickly and beautifully decorated. The map is clear and there is something for everyone. Ambience is just for feeling good, whether indoors or in the beer garden. No matter what day you had, it is a place to end the day calmly. With a little luck, the waiter Marko will be there for you and will put you in the mood with his charming and humorous manner, his tips on food or drinks are also worth their weight in gold.

I was able to celebrate my 40th birthday there in the smallest group. The evening was completely beautiful. Starting with the funny nice service from Marko to the really delicious food! All the best and gladly again at any time! Thanks for a great evening !!!

Food good, service nice (compared to the Berlin standard), the beer great (though bit pricey)

Overpriced for the average food and tasteless ambience. Waiters constantly ask if we want more drinks, which is little annoying.

Brewery/restaurant serving traditional German dishes. Also has a "tasting menu" with 5 different beers which my husband enjoyed. Generous portion sizes at reasonable prices, and a cozy atmosphere.

Great place to have an after work beer and some traditional food!

I'm really like it that a oiled herring with baked potatoes and green beans. It's goes well with sparkling water so much, but I want to drink a large beer.

Old place with a history that dates back to 1817 and it has seen some illustrious guests such as the Romanovs. Rustic interior with a nice long bar and decorations on walls and ceilings plus a statue of a pirate at the entrance (yarr!). Authentic local dishes - very hearty, but vegetarian options exist. Generous portions, although smaller (and cheaper) lunch offers on weekdays are available, too. Local craft beers on draft and even 2l growlers for takeaway are available. Staff is friendly and welcoming as well. Very good location in the center of the old town with most attractions within walking distance. Good (if not the best) place to have lunch as you explore the historical part of Schwerin's old town.

Can't speak for the food but the beer went down well

Decoration is confusing. The theme seems to be “pirates” but you can see an steel armoury from the middle-ages in the middle of the restaurant. Food is ok, large dishes but quality of the ingredients is average. Desserts are very basic. Don’t choose the apple strudel... it’s taste cheap if you know what a real one should be...

Attractive interior and clean. Average food and beer, not a great value. Waitress refused to break a 50.

A Good traditional place with Good food and drinks

Seems to be a little to touristic. Beer was very expensive and really worth the money. Food was good though. One waiter to around 50 persons was not enough.
